My name is Jennifer Gardner. I am the oldest of four children. I have nine nieces and nephews who I love like my own. My family means the world to me.
I grew up in God's country, Emery County, Utah! I love spending time in the mountains and desert near home. I love to spend time close to nature where I feel close to my Father in Heaven.
I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have served in many capacities especially in Primary and Nursery. I love the little children. I recently began working in the baptistry of the Manti LDS Temple. I love being in the temple where I can learn and feel close to my Savior.
I served a mission for the Church in 2007-2008. I was in the Utah Provo Mission and served in St. George, Utah. I was lucky enough to serve in the Temple Visitors Center and Church Historic Sites as well as to proselyte. I loved my mission! It was one of the hardest things I have ever done and also one of the most rewarding.
I graduated from Emery High School and then went on to teach preschool in Orangeville, Utah with Miss Sandra at Kiddie Korner Preschool for just over 13 years prior to my mission. When I returned from my mission I took a correspondence course in Early Childhood Education. I have had the opportunity to work as an aide for Head Start of Northeastern Nevada and also as a substitute preschool aide for Davis School District. I recently returned to working with Miss Sandra. Someday I hope to have my own preschool.
For most of my life I have struggled with anxiety and depression. In the past, almost three years, I have intentionally overdosed twice. This is a trial that I am trying to overcome. I have decided to start this blog to share some of the things I have learned and what I am doing to get past the negative thoughts and feelings. It is my goal to share thoughts and feelings. Also I want to share quotes, sayings, talks, hymns, etc, that have helped me to feel peace.
I may go into details that may shock or upset some people. Consider this a warning that I mean no offense but I feel like it is a good way for me to get past those things. I hope that by sharing my experiences that I can not only help myself but maybe help somebody else who is going through the same things.
I hope you enjoy this blog and if you have positive feedback I would love to hear from you.
It is my hope that by sharing with others and more importantly, trusting in my Savior, Jesus Christ and the Atonement, that I can live a happier life and be free of the negative thoughts and feelings I struggle with every day.
